News Release – Peabody Public Library seeks feedback from residents in Whitley County

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. (October 8, 2019) – Peabody Public Library wants to hear your voice. The library is distributing a countywide survey to seek feedback from residents in Whitley County.

The library will launch the survey later this week, and surveys will hit mailboxes early next week (October 14). Residents from all townships across the county will be selected at random for the survey.

“Libraries have evolved from information institutions to thriving community centers. We need to know from you, the stakeholders of this establishment, what you want your Peabody Public Library to become. Your participation will help us determine our strategic road map for the future,” said Peabody Public Library Executive Director Mary Hartman.

The library is seeking input on the following categories: facilities, materials, services, technology, unserved townships and the countywide library system.

“Feedback from this survey will help us better understand how we can best serve residents, because that’s why we’re here–to serve our community,” said Hartman.

Residents will also have the opportunity to provide feedback via an on-line survey after mailed surveys go out to residents. The library will launch the digital survey via social media and email, roughly a week after surveys are mailed.

As a ‘thank you’ for sharing feedback, survey respondents will have the opportunity to submit their names in a drawing for prizes. The library is giving away an indoor/outdoor smart camera, Amazon Echo Dot, and a one-year library membership. Don’t miss the opportunity to win one of these prizes, and share valuable feedback with the library!
