On Your Mark, Get Set... READ!

This year's Summer Reading program will be starting before we know it! Sign-up starts on Tuesday, May 31, while the program itself runs from Monday, June 6 through Saturday, July 30. We have lots of great activities lined up, so watch our newsletters, calendars, and this location for more information.

New Fun in the Adult Department

The Adult Department has begun a new feature: Word of the Week. Each Wednesday a new word will be featured to enhance your vocabulary. The word is posted at the end of the Reference Shelf, and by the catalog computers in the aisles. Challenge yourself to use the word at least once during the week!

We have also placed “Golden Tickets” in several books. When you find a ticket, you must check out the book to receive a prize. Just bring the book and ticket to the checkout desk!

New! Internet Hotspots

Starting April 1, Peabody Public Library patrons will be able to check out Sprint Hotspots for one week. We are doing a 60-day trial period through May 28 for this service. We have five devices available for checkout at this time. If the Hotspots are respected and enjoyed by our patrons, the service will likely continue.

Patrons must be 18 years old and have a photo ID with them to check out a Hotspot. If a device is not available today, you can ask to be added to the hold list.

If any part of the Hotspot set is not returned on time, or is returned damaged, the patron will be charged $170. No renewals available. Internet is turned off to the device after the one week checkout period. Note: Patrons are required to return kit to the circulation desk. Do not use the book drop.
