Have you ever wanted to digitize your old photos, negatives, or slides, but just weren't sure where to do it? The Peabody Public Library has a scanner that can handle photos up to letter size (8½x11 inches), as well as transparencies in the form of slides and photo negatives. This scanner is free to use, with or without a library card, so why not take advantage of this opportunity to digitize your priceless family memories?
The library also has equipment for copying VHS tapes to DVD, in case you are concerned about what will happen when your VCR dies. (Note: this device is only for use with home videos. So if you want to watch an old favorite movie, try borrowing a digital copy instead.)
