Peabody Public Library's Community Seed Library both grows our community, encourages sustainability, and inspires life-long education, as well as, supports food security, and preserves biodiversity.
HOW TO GET FREE SEEDS
Visit PPL during normal business hours. All seeds are located in the former card catalog in the lobby and are in small envelopes. Each envelope contains between 8 to 20 seeds, depending on how much we have in stock.
WANT TO DONATE SOME SEEDS?
Donated seeds should be clean, and dry. Please label with the seed type, the variety, as well as, the date harvested. We prefer seeds from heirloom, non-GMO plants as they can be saved for future planting, while hybrid seeds cannot be saved for future years.
***This Community Seed Library is free and open to all members of the community. A library card is not required.***
Each Wednesday, weather permitting, we will deliver materials to patrons who are unable to visit the library.
